Jali means net
Cut, not carved.
Delhi has had stone screens in its windows for over 700 years, from the Alai Darwaza of 1311 to the marble lattices of Humayun's Tomb. A jali lets air through. Behind ours sits a HEPA filter.
Forty-eight diamonds around. Black mesh behind every one, so you see the pattern and never the machine.

Drag to turn
No back to it.
The door is cut from the lattice itself, so when it is closed it reads as more lattice.
A smooth foot below, a plain belt at the middle, a brass-coloured rim at the top.
Midnight.
Deep blue-black, with the rim catching the light. Also in Bone, Clay and Chalk.
The door
Hidden in the lattice.
Push it in at its centre and it clicks free. Turn it aside and it slides round behind the lattice. Pull the tab, and the filter comes out from the front. No tools.
Up close.

Inside, the same as every Home.
- A cylindrical HEPA filter
- An EC fan, air in low and out high
- A laser sensor that reads the room's PM2.5, and an auto mode
- The Purispira app: your room's PM2.5 and the fan, on your phone
- No ioniser, no UV
