96 flutes
The air hides in the shadows.
Ninety-six concave flutes run from foot to rim. The air slots are cut into the valleys, where the shadow is already deepest, so from across the room the vase looks solid.
Even the joins between the parts sit in a valley. Each one reads as one more flute.

Drag to turn
Every side is the front.
The filter door follows two flute valleys, so you will look for it before you find it.
A smooth foot, a plain belt, and a brass-coloured rim.

Bone
Made for a living room, not a lab.

Clay
Sand, like sun-dried earth.
The door
Between two flutes.
Push it in and it clicks free. Turn it aside, pull the tab, and the filter comes out from the front. No tools.
Inside, the same as every Home.
- A cylindrical HEPA filter
- An EC fan, air in low and out high
- A laser sensor that reads the room's PM2.5, and an auto mode
- An optional scent pod under the brass-coloured cap
- No ioniser, no UV
